Common use of Education and Training Clause in Contracts

Education and Training. The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance employees’ ability to perform their job duties and to prepare themselves for promotional opportunities. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with Agency policies, as available and within budgetary constraints. If a training or employee development opportunity is denied, upon request of the affected employee, Management will provide a reason for the denial to the affected employee.
