DURATION OF SHIFTS. Shift work employees will work 8 or 12 hour shifts determined in accordance with 5.3.2 (c). The design of shift schedules may be time balanced to greater than base hours (35 hours per week). The design of the schedule shall provide for a minimum of 16 hours off between shifts when working on an 8 hour shift schedule and 12 hours off between shifts when working on a 12 hour shift schedule.
