Common use of Diversity Clause in Contracts

Diversity. It is the policy of the State that Minority Business Enterprises, Woman-Owned Business Enterprises and Service-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (as those terms are defined by Florida Statutes), have the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in performing contracts let by any state agency. Contractor will carry out this policy in the awarding of subcontracts to the fullest extent consistent with efficient Contract performance by reasonably considering such Business Enterprises as Subcontractors for the Services. Contractor further agrees to comply with all controlling laws and regulations respecting the participation of such Business Enterprises in the provision of the Services and to reasonably cooperate in any studies or surveys as may be conducted by the State of Florida to determine the extent of Contractor's compliance with this Section.
