Disposition of Accumulated Annual Leave at Separation from County Service. Upon leaving the County service, an employee must receive a lump sum payment, at the employee’s current rate of pay, for the total accrued annual leave as of the date of separation, less any indebtedness to the County Government. In the event of an employee’s death, the employee’s estate or designated beneficiary or beneficiaries, if permissible by law, must be paid for all accrued annual leave. The designated beneficiary must be as specified by the employee or as designated under the Employees’ Retirement System of Xxxxxxxxxx County, if not named specifically.
