Common use of Developmental Opportunities Clause in Contracts

Developmental Opportunities. The Institution or Facility may provide developmental assignments and job rotation assignments. Employees in these assignments retain their permanent position classifications, remain on the Institution or Facility payroll, retain the representation status of their permanent positions while on the assignments (except for assignments in supervisory, managerial or confidential positions), and return to their permanent positions on completion of the assignment. An employee filling a developmental assignment or job rotation assignment expected to last more than thirty (30) days shall be informed in writing at the time of the assignment of its anticipated term. Employees participating in developmental and job rotation assignments will continue to receive compensation at the rate of their permanent position and shall continue to accrue rights and benefits related to their permanent position.
