Delivery Date and Date of Dispatch Sample Clauses

The "Delivery Date and Date of Dispatch" clause defines when goods are considered delivered and how the timing of dispatch is determined for contractual purposes. Typically, this clause specifies whether the delivery date is the actual date the goods arrive at their destination or the date they are handed over to a carrier for shipment. For example, it may state that risk and responsibility transfer to the buyer upon dispatch, not upon receipt. This clause is essential for clarifying the point at which obligations shift between parties, thereby reducing disputes over late delivery or liability for loss or damage during transit.
