Definition of Focused. A focused evaluation includes an assessment of one of the eight (8) criteria selected for a performance rating plus professional growth activities specifically linked to the selected criteria. The selected criteria must be approved by the teacher’s evaluator and may have been identified in a previous comprehensive summative evaluation as benefitting from additional attention. A group of teachers may, but shall not be required to, focus on the same evaluation criteria and share professional growth activities as part of a collaborative process.
