Definition of Family Members. For the purposes of this article, immediate family includes parent, child, sibling, spouse, grandparent, grandchild, equivalent in-laws, and domestic partners. Relatives not listed who reside in the employee’s household are also included in the definition. For employees taking time off under a particular Oregon State and/or federal law, the definition of family member will be as defined by the appropriate Oregon State and/or federal law.
