Common use of Deduction from Pay Clause in Contracts

Deduction from Pay. Subject to the provisions of this article, the Employer will, as a condition of employment, deduct an amount equal to the membership dues from the pay of all employees in the bargaining unit commencing with the first complete month of employment. Where an employee does not have sufficient earnings in respect of any month to permit deductions made under this article, the Employer shall not be obligated to make such deduction from subsequent salary.
