Common use of Day Work Clause in Contracts

Day Work. Commences at 8:00 a.m. or up to 4 hours before or after 8:00 a.m. as determined by the employer. Payment shall be at straight time rates for the first 8 hours worked Monday to Friday inclusive with no shift premium. For all work performed after 8 hours and on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays, payment shall be at prevailing overtime rates with no shift premium.
