CURRICULUM STUDY Clause Samples

The CURRICULUM STUDY clause establishes the parties' agreement regarding the review, evaluation, or development of educational curricula. Typically, this clause outlines the scope of the curriculum to be studied, the responsibilities of each party in conducting the study, and any deliverables or timelines associated with the process. For example, it may specify that one party will analyze existing course materials and propose updates or new content. The core function of this clause is to ensure that both parties have a clear understanding of the expectations and procedures for curriculum-related work, thereby promoting effective collaboration and minimizing misunderstandings.
CURRICULUM STUDY. The curriculum needs will be studied annually. Input will be accepted from teachers who wish to submit it. Teachers who are required by the Board or Administration to create curriculum beyond their normal duties (such as, creation of a new course) will: (1) receive additional compensation for such work, or (2) will utilize team time or be granted release time necessary to accomplish the assigned tasks. If team time is not utilized, then release time will be granted.

CURRICULUM STUDY. A. The administration and staff will determine the area(s) of the curriculum to be studied. B. The committee will be comprised of no less than one (1) representative from each elementary, one (1) representative from the junior high and one (1) representative from the high school. Membership on the committee shall be voluntary. C. Whenever possible, the district will provide the committee members with release time for committee activities during the school year. If committee members are asked to meet during the summer months, committee members will receive $18.00 per hour. D. The Assistant Superintendent will coordinate the activities of the committee and schedule any summer activities (subject to the approval of the Superintendent).
CURRICULUM STUDY. 14.1 There is hereby established a Professional Study Committee which may consist of a member of the Administration, a member from the department involved, an elementary, junior high and high school teacher. 14.2 The purpose of this committee is to study the total school program and recommend changes for improvement in curriculum.
