Counseling Session. A private meeting shall be held with the Officer and a notation regarding this meeting will be placed in the register (See General Order 87.13).
Counseling Session. Counseling sessions are a non-disciplinary step in the process. Union representation is not required. The counseling session documentation must include the specific facts of the issue including date, time, place and action(s), and clear expectations for improvement.
Counseling Session. A meeting or conversation between a supervisor and subordinate to discuss a plan of action for correcting an employee behavioral problem. Recommendations and notice of future action should be discussed. The supervisor shall keep a record of the counseling session and shall have that record initialed by the telecommunicator being counseled. Counseling sessions may be conducted by telephone. Such sessions must be documented and the telecommunicator receiving the counseling must be advised that it is a counseling session. A copy of any documentation of the counseling must be provided the
Counseling Session. The appropriate administrator or supervisor shall hold a counseling session with the employee and attempt to help the employee overcome his/her difficulties. A copy of any record of this counseling session shall be retained by the administrator or supervisor and a copy given to the employee. The Counseling Session Form is entered as Appendix D in this Agreement. Supervisory employees covered by this contract (those positions formerly covered by the contract with the Escambia Association of Supervisory Employees) shall be authorized to conduct informal warning conferences and counseling sessions with employees under their supervision, provided the supervisory employee has received proper training in how to do so.
Counseling Session a private discussion between an employee and a supervisor or management official about any matter. It does not constitute a disciplinary action and no record is kept in the Official Personnel Folder (OPF), but the supervisor may keep a written record of the counseling session, which is filed in the supervisory employee record file (SERF) and removed after an appropriate interval (not to exceed a year) at the discretion of the supervisor. If such a written record is made, the employee is provided a copy.
