The counselor is also responsible for maintaining currency in effective advising and counseling practices, addressing student equity gaps as well as multi- faceted transfer issues that impact student educational planning and guidance, collaboratively work with students to create individually tailored student educational planning and guidance that is consistent, accurate, and detail oriented to map out the student’s educational and/or career goals, and work independently and leverage technology to assist students in a face to face or remote modality.
