Common use of CONTRACT TERM AND EXTENSIONS Clause in Contracts

CONTRACT TERM AND EXTENSIONS. The Contract shall be in effect for a term of two (2) years. The Contract term shall commence on the later of July 1, 2018 or after all necessary approvals and shall become effective upon mailing or electronic communication of the final executed documents to the Contractor (see Appendix B, Contract Creation/Execution). All Contracts awarded under IFB #23093 shall have a co-terminus end date, notwithstanding non-renewals or contract cancellations. At the State’s option, the Contract may be extended for three (3) additional years, in increments as deemed to be in the best interest of the State. Whether the optional extensions are exercised is at the sole discretion of the State. A Contractor shall retain the right to decline a Contract extension offered under this section. Any Contract extension will be under the same terms and conditions, subject to any additional applicable statutory and policy requirements. Any extensions provided under this section shall apply in addition to any rights set forth in Appendix B, Contract Term – Extension.
