Continuous Schedules. Nurses working where seven (7) day week schedules are in effect shall be governed by the following: A. There shall be no split shifts. No nurse shall be scheduled to work the night shift (or at night) immediately preceding a weekend off. Except for emergencies, a nurse cannot be assigned mandatory overtime after their last scheduled shift before an approved leave (approved leave includes vacation, sick leave, compensatory time, or holiday leave).
