Continuous Overtime is overtime worked immediately preceding or following (including during the meal period) the basic hours of work for the employee. Unpaid meal periods do not break continuity for these purposes.

Continuous Overtime a. Unit employees called back to work six (6) or more hours prior to the start of their regular work shift, who work continuously through the start of the regular work shift, shall continue to receive overtime at the rate earned prior to the commencement of the regular work shift (double-time if between 12:00 am and 8:00 am), as set forth in Section B-2 above, into the regular work shift. Continuous Overtime. Any employee who works overtime continuous with his regularly scheduled shift (8, 10, or 24 hours) shall be compensated for such overtime hours worked at the applicable rate, however, no guarantee shall apply. Any and all times worked immediately prior to commencement of the regular scheduled shift shall be paid as continuous overtime.
Continuous Overtime. In the event an employee works two (2) or more hours of continuous emergency overtime after an eight (8) hour period, and such overtime extends beyond a normal meal period, the Company will pay a meal allowance to the employee.
