Continuous Assignment. In the event that a Teacher Teaching On Call assignment is interrupted by the return of a teacher, who after one (1) day is absent again for the same reason as the original absence, the Board will endeavour to assign the Teacher Teaching On Call to that position and the assignment shall proceed as if it were uninterrupted.
Continuous Assignment a. In the event that a TTOC’s assignment is interrupted by the return of a teacher, and that teacher is subsequently absent the following one working day, then that TTOC, if available, shall be reassigned and the assignment shall proceed as if it has not been broken for salary or contract provisions which depend upon the length of assignment. b. A TTOC’s service shall not be considered broken by: i. A strike or lockout, or ii. A TTOC’s illness or accident.
Continuous Assignment. In the event that a Teacher-Teaching-on-Call's assignment is interrupted by the return of a teacher who subsequently is absent within one (1) working day, the Teacher-Teaching-on-Call, if that Teacher-Teaching-on-Call has the necessary qualifications for the Teacher-Teaching-on-Call assignment, shall be reassigned subject to availability and the Teacher-Teaching-on-Call assignment shall proceed as if it had not been broken for salary purposes.
Continuous Assignment a. After twenty (20) days of continuous employment a teacher-teaching-on-call may use sick leave at the rate of one and one half (1.5) days for each twenty (20) days of teacher- teaching-on-call service on the same assignment, cumulative on the same assignment. During the first twenty (20) days of continuous service, absence of up to two (2) days due to illness will not constitute a break in service. b. A teacher-teaching-on-call’s continuous service shall not be considered broken by: i. a non-instructional day ii. a strike or lockout iii. a one (1) day’s absence of the teacher-teaching-on-call due to illness or accident. c. In the event that a teacher-teaching-on-call’s assignment of five (5) days or more in length is interrupted by the return of the teacher who subsequently is absent within one (1) working day, the teacher-teaching-on-call shall be reassigned, unless the teacher- teaching-on-call agrees otherwise, and the assignment shall proceed as if it had not been broken for salary or contract provisions which depend upon the length of the assignment.

Continuous Assignment a. In the event that a Teacher Teaching on Call’s assignment is interrupted for one and one half (1-1/2) working days or portion thereof by the return of a teacher who subsequently is absent due to illness, the teacher teaching on call if best suited for the assignment shall be reassigned subject to availability. With the exception of Article C.4 Teacher Teaching on Call Employment, the assignment shall proceed as if it had not been broken for contract provisions which depend upon the length of assignment. b. A teacher teaching on call/substitute person’s service shall not be considered broken by a non-instructional day.
Continuous Assignment a. A Teacher Teaching on Call’s days of service shall not be considered broken by a non-instructional day. b. A non-instructional day does not count towards days of service unless the Teacher Teaching on Call is required by the Principal to be in attendance.

Continuous Assignment. 10.1 In the event that the assignment of the Teacher On Call is interrupted after five (5) teaching days by the return of a teacher who subsequently is absent within two (2) working days, the original Teacher On Call, if available, shall be recalled and the assignment shall proceed as if it has not been broken for salary or contract provisions which depend upon the length of assignment.
