Continuation Application. A continuation application is a non-competitive application for an additional budget period within a previously approved period of performance. At least 90 calendar days before the end of each budget period, the recipient must submit its continuation application to the DOE as required in Attachment 2, Federal Assistance Reporting Checklist, with written notification to the Technology Manager/Federal Project Manager and the DOE Award Administrator that it has been submitted. The continuation application includes the following information:
Continuation Application. A continuation application is a non-competitive application for an additional budget period within a previously approved project period. At least 60 days before the end of each budget period, your continuation application must be submitted to the DOE Project Officer and the DOE Award Administrator identified in the Assistance Agreement, to be eligible to receive a continuation award for the next budget period. The continuation application must include the following information:
1. Application for Federal Assistance, SF-424.
2. A continuation report, which must provide a summary of the progress towards meeting the objectives of the award, including any significant findings, conclusions, or developments, a comparison of actual accomplishment with the objectives established for the reporting period (milestones, deliverables, decision point criteria and stage gates), reasons for slippage if goals were not met, an estimate of any unobligated balances remaining at the end of the budget period, and when applicable an explanation of cost overruns or underruns. A description of your plans for the award during the upcoming budget period and any variance from the DOE approved objectives needs to be included in the continuation application package.
3. A detailed budget and supporting justification for the upcoming budget period with the supporting documentation below, including an estimate of DOE funds expected to be remaining at the end of the current budget period:
a) Budget Information — Non Construction Programs, SF-424A.
b) Cost Reasonableness Determination, PMC 123.1 (Excel Version).
4. Environmental Checklist, EF1, (This form should be completed on-line at ▇▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/).
5. Commitment Letters from Third Parties Contributing to Cost Sharing, if applicable.
6. Statement of Project Objectives (SOPO), if revision is required. At least 60 days before the end of each budget period, the Recipient Administrator must submit to the DOE/NNSA Contracting Officer and Project Officer a continuation application, which includes the following information:
1. A report on progress towards meeting the objectives of the project, including any significant findings, conclusions, or developments, and an estimate of any unobligated balances remaining at the end of the budget period. If the remaining unobligated balance is estimated to exceed 20 percent of the funds available for the budget period, explain why the excess funds have not been obligated and how they will be used in the next budget period.
2. A detailed budget and supporting justification for the upcoming budget period if additional funds are requested, a reduction of funds is anticipated, or a budget for the upcoming budget period was not approved at the time of award.
3. A copy of the draft Annual Project Plan required by Article 7, paragraph d.

If the remaining unobligated balance is estimated to exceed 20 percent of the funds available for the budget period, explain why the excess funds have not been obligated and how they will be used in the next budget period.
2. A detailed budget and supporting justification for the upcoming budget period if additional funds are requested, a reduction of funds is anticipated, or a budget for the upcoming budget period was not approved at the time of award
3. A description of your plans for the conduct of the project during the upcoming budget period, if there are changes from the DOE approved application.

At least ninety (90) days before the end of each budget period, the Recipient must submit to the DOE Technology Manager/Project Officer and the DOE Award Administrator its continuation application, which includes the following information:
i. A report on the Recipient’s progress towards meeting the objectives of the project, including any significant findings, conclusions, or developments, and an estimate of any unobligated balances remaining at the end of the budget period. If the remaining unobligated balance is estimated to exceed 20 percent of the funds available for the budget period, explain why the excess funds have not been obligated and how they will be used in the next budget period.
ii. A detailed budget and supporting justification if there are changes to the negotiated budget, or a budget for the upcoming budget period was not approved at the time of award.
iii. A description of any planned changes from the negotiated Statement of Project Objectives and/or Milestone Summary Table.

2. A detailed budget and supporting justification if there are changes to the negotiated budget, or a budget for the upcoming budget period was not approved at the time of award.
3. A description of any planned changes from the negotiated Statement of Project Objectives and/or Milestone Summary Table.
Continuation Application. A continuation application is a non-competitive application for an additional budget period and extended project period. The continuation application shall be submitted to EERE in accordance with the annual Announcement/Grant Guidance that is issued.
Continuation Application. The Lessee shall submit a Continuation Application Form to the Lessor in accordance with Clause 2.3 or Clause 2.4, as applicable, advising which Leased Lands, Leased Formations and Leased Substances are qualified for continuation beyond expiration of the Primary Term by Production Operations pursuant to Clause 2.3, or for the duration of any Drilling Operations pursuant to Subclause 2.4(a) and after completion of such Drilling Operations as provided for in Subclause 2.4(b). If the Lessor objects to the qualification of any such Leased Lands, Leased Formations and Leased Substances, the Lessee shall have a period of fifteen (15) days from its receipt of the Lessor's written notice of objection to appeal by submitting a Technical Review Request Form to the Lessor.
