The Construction Site Allowances clause defines specific budget amounts set aside within a construction contract for certain items or work whose exact costs are not yet determined at the time of agreement. CONSTRUCTION SITE ALLOWANCES. The undermentioned rates apply to employees of the Company who from time to time may be required to perform duties on a specific rail project related construction site for the time they are:
1. Engaged in activities (construction or maintenance) on the defined site; or
2. Engaged in activities (non-maintenance) supporting the work being undertaken on the defined site.

The rates shall be reviewed no later than 30 June 2011 and thereafter for each subsequent year of the Agreement taking into account movements in the CPI.

(d) Site allowances will be adjusted annually in accordance with CPI (All Groups, Melbourne) movements measured in the twelve month period. Effective as of 1 October from 2021 onwards.

CONSTRUCTION SITE ALLOWANCES. 4.1 The definition of a construction site is considered to be a site where work is undertaken that is not part of the Maintenance & Renewals program and the project value is equal to or greater than $5.7m.

a) Engaged in activities (construction or maintenance) on the defined site; or
b) Engaged in activities (non-maintenance) supporting the work being undertaken on the defined site. The definition of a construction site is considered to be a site where work is undertaken and is not part of the Maintenance & Renewals program and the project value exceeds $2.1m. The parties agree to consult where required to clarify whether work to be undertaken is considered to be construction activity for the purposes of this clause.

CONSTRUCTION SITE ALLOWANCES. Where the Company undertakes work on a construction site where site allowances are payable and the client pays the Company for provision of such site allowances to employees, then relevant site allowances apply to work performed on that site under that contract.
