Common use of Construction Contracting Clause in Contracts

Construction Contracting. a) It is agreed that Plant Tradesmen who are assigned by the Company to carry out work directly related to “new” construction with tradesmen employed by an outside contractor, plant tradesmen will be paid the “outside” contractor(s) rate(s). b) For the purpose of this Agreement “new” construction will be defined as meaning: i) The construction of major new buildings and major additions to existing buildings. ii) The addition of new or used major production machinery and related equipment not previously in existence.
