SCOPE OF ARCHITECT’S BASIC SERVICES 3.1 The Architect’s Basic Services consist of those described in this Article 3 and include usual and customary structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering services. Services not set forth in this Article 3 are Supplemental or Additional Services.

Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.
Selection of Subcontractors, Procurement of Materials and Leasing of Equipment The contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurement of materials and leases of equipment. CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF RESIDENCE FACILITIES The Student is responsible for the care of rooms, furnishings and equipment in the residence facilities, and for keeping the Student’s residence and shared common areas clean and sanitary, including, but not limited to, taking reasonable steps to control pests and insects. Furniture or fixtures are assigned to residence facilities and common areas on a room or area basis by UCF DHRL, and may not be moved or transferred from the assigned room or area without prior written or electronically reproducible permission from UCF DHRL. Changes or modifications to residence accommodations are prohibited, unless specifically authorized by a prior written or electronically reproducible approval from UCF DHRL.
