Common use of Climbing Stipend Department of Conservation Clause in Contracts

Climbing Stipend Department of Conservation. All qualified employees assigned to Tower Climbing activities shall, when actually climbing radio towers for inspection or repair activities on behalf of the Department of Conservation, be compensated at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) an hour in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay. Employees shall be compensated for a minimum of one (1) hour of such work regardless of the length of the climbing assignment. Employees must be MDOT certified to perform tower climbing activities to be eligible for this climbing stipend.
