CLASSIFICATION PAY. A. The Board agrees that if any employee is required to perform work in another classification, such employee shall receive their regular rate or the rate of the other classification, whichever is higher. B. Any such assignment must be performed for a period of three (3) consecutive days of compensation in order to qualify for higher classification rate of pay. C. In the event an employee meets the requirements set forth above, the rate of pay will be calculated from the first day of working in the higher rated classification. D. Members accepting additional work outside of his/her normal annually scheduled obligations and outside of his/her assigned classification will be compensated at the substitute rate of the classification within which the member agrees to work.
