Common use of CLASSIFICATION PAY Clause in Contracts

CLASSIFICATION PAY. 3.1 When an employee is requested and does substitute for an employee holding a higher classification, the employee shall receive the compensation of that higher classification on a step parallel with his/her current employment from the first hour. 3.2 When a maintenance person is on vacation, the senior Custodian I shall be designated as a maintenance person and compensated as in 3.1 (above) for those hours he/she is performing the duties of the Maintenance Supervisor. When he/she is performing his/her regular duties he will be compensated at his/her regular rate of pay.

When he/she is performing his/her regular duties he will be compensated at his/her regular rate of pay.
