Common use of Classification Adjustment Clause in Contracts

Classification Adjustment. (a) An Employee whose position is reclassified to one with a higher basic rate of pay shall be advanced to the next step on the salary schedule that would provide, at a minimum an increase to their basic rate of pay. (b) An Employee who’s position is reclassified to one with a lower basic rate of pay shall have their rate of pay red circled until the basic rate of pay for the lower paid classification is equal to or greater than his/her previous basic rate of pay.
