Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. One (1) ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be appointed by the Union as Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.

Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. Leave of absence with current pay, benefits and without loss of seniority will be granted to one chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for up to a combined maximum total of three days per year to deal with collective agreement related problems on the worksites within the service area. Further leaves will be granted as required as per Clause 2.10(a)(2). The chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be a member of the Labour-Management Committee.

Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. The Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and/or designated representative(s) shall be granted release time from regular City duties to attend the following functions:  To attend grievance meetings when used to facilitate the settling of grievances.  To attend other meetings and trainings approved by the Employee Relations Director or designee.

Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. The University further agrees to recognize a Unit President designated by the Union.

Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. (a) The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint, or otherwise select from among the members of the Grievance Committee, a Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. (b) The Company will recognize the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for the purpose of attending meetings with the Human Resources Manager and the Plant Manager at Step 2 of the Grievance Procedure.

Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. The stewards, during their working hours, without loss of time or pay, shall investigate and present grievances to the Employer.

Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. The Union will furnish the Employer with the names of its stewards when elected and such changes as may occur from time to time in such personnel so that the Employer may at all times be advised as to the authority of the individual representatives of the Union with whom it may be dealing. Until the Employer has received written notice of changes from the Union, it shall not be required to deal with such employees purporting to be Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ representatives.

Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. 4.11.6.1 The Union may designate one (1) Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ from among the Stewards designated in 4.11.4. 4.11.6.2 The Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be entitled to release time to replace Stewards when the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is not available, and shall comply with Sections 4.11.1., 4.11.2., and 4.11.3. 4.11.6.3 Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be entitled to release time to attend grievance resolution meetings or disciplinary hearings, and to conduct other business necessary in the investigation of grievances.

Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. One of the six (6) Stewards shall be designated the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. The Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall coordinate the activities of the other Stewards and alternate Stewards. The Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, in addition to the representation of bargaining unit members in his/her area, can substitute for any other ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. The Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may act in the capacity of a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ when the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is not available.
