A Cancelled Event clause defines the rights and obligations of the parties if a scheduled event is cancelled. Typically, it outlines the procedures for notification, any refunds or rescheduling options, and the allocation of costs or liabilities resulting from the cancellation. This clause ensures that both parties understand their responsibilities and remedies in the event of a cancellation, thereby reducing uncertainty and potential disputes.
Cancelled Event. If the entire Event is rescheduled or cancelled, subject to clause [5.4], we will either (at our option):

If the entire Event is rescheduled or cancelled, subject to clause [5.4], we will either (at our option): Exchange the ticket for a ticket to the rescheduled or next Event; or If we are required to provide a refund by law, then subject to a refund request being received by us in accordance with clause [5.5], we will refund the ticket price (less all reasonable costs and expenses including booking fees, credit card fees, courier fees, advertising costs, hire fees etc).
Cancelled Event. If the Event is cancelled, the User shall notify the Parks Division, remove all equipment from the Boat Launch Area, and promptly open the Boat Launch.
Cancelled Event. If the Event is cancelled, Volleyball Canada will issue a refund of the Event Pass’s face value paid (or, for a discounted event pass, then the discounted Event Pass price paid). Service fees are non-refundable. Refunds will only be issued to the Purchaser and will be in the same payment method used by the Purchaser to purchase the Event Pass.

If the fireworks are unable to be safely discharged by the later of the originally scheduled date or any approved rain dates, the fireworks contractor shall remove the shells as rapidly as possible consistent with personnel safety, the International Fire Code, and federal, state and local laws, or shoot some shells, without advance public promotion, within the 24 hours following the Event if safety concerns prohibit removal of the shells from the mortars. Best efforts shall be undertaken to remove all explosives from the site as rapidly as possible after any such weather cancellation and additional time may be granted with the permission of the Superintendent and the Madison Fire Department. If shells are shot following a cancellation of the Event, prior to shooting the fireworks contractor shall notify the Madison Parks Division and the Madison Fire Department.
