Bus Maintenance. 1. Each driver shall be held responsible for the cleaning of the inside of her/his bus on a daily basis. When a bus is driven to an extracurricular activity or field trip, the driver of the extra trip is responsible for leaving the bus in clean condition. 2. The outside of the bus shall be washed at least once a week. Lights must be visible at all times. 3. Back to back is defined as a run/trip that starts 60 minutes or less of a previous run/trip. A fifteen (15) minute warm up time will be allowed for mid-day runs and extra trips if a bus was not started previously in the day or if a driver is switching to a different bus. The time is to be used for keeping buses clean, checking for problems, warming up, contacting parents, fueling buses, etc. If the parent is unable to meet during this time and the driver is required to forfeit a route to meet with the parent, the driver will be paid the regular route time. If the warm up time is abused, pay will be docked accordingly.
Bus Maintenance. Any bus driver who is required to bring his bus in for maintenance shall be paid a minimum of one (1) hour’s pay. If the driver is required to wait while the maintenance work is being performed, he shall be paid for the waiting time.
Bus Maintenance. All accessibility equipment and devices on buses will be maintained in operable condition and in compliance with the highest accessibility standards. All accessibility equipment and features on buses will be cleaned as required to ensure proper functioning at all times. Lifts, kneelers and ramps shall be cleaned on a daily basis. Ramps and lifts shall be vacuumed, at a minimum, every six weeks. In addition, the lifts on the Zero Series buses shall be vacuumed at least once per week during the winter months. All signage shall be cleaned at a minimum, weekly, and more often during the winter and severe weather conditions to ensure that the route, destination and bus number is clearly visible at all times during operations. Securement belts, shoulder straps and flip seats shall be cleaned on a monthly basis or more often if warranted, and shall be replaced immediately when they cannot be cleaned, are worn significantly, are torn or otherwise damaged irreplaceably.
Bus Maintenance. Drivers shall not be required to drive any bus that they feel is unsafe. Drivers shall notify the supervisor of the unsafe condition and take a spare bus. Should there be a dispute as to the safety of the bus, the state patrol shall be requested to inspect the bus. Drivers shall submit repair requests as needed in accordance with procedures established by the transportation supervisor and mechanics. A copy shall be kept by the driver. Drivers will be responsible for checking the fluid levels. Drivers shall not be responsible for adding any fluids to the bus except gas.
Bus Maintenance. 1. The driver shall make a visual safety inspection each day, and keep the inside of their bus clean. 2. Drivers shall not be required to wash the exterior of their buses. Drivers who choose to wash their own buses shall be permitted as scheduled by the Transportation Supervisor. Buses not washed by their own drivers will be washed in accordance with the procedure set forth as follows. Bus drivers may sign up to be in a pool of drivers who will be used to wash school buses as directed by the Transportation Supervisor. The drivers in the pool will be used on a seniority rotation basis. If a driver washes a bus, they will be paid for their time at their hourly rate of pay. If no driver signs up to wash buses, or if the drivers who sign up are not able to wash buses, or the drivers in the pool washing another driver’s bus would receive overtime as a result of the additional hours, the Transportation Supervisor may use other methods or another driver in the pool to clean the buses. The Supervisor reserves the right to not use an employee from the pool if he/she is not satisfactorily washing the buses. 3. No driver shall be required to check under the hood when the bus is mechanically down. 4. Bus driver is not responsible for general bus maintenance. 5. Drivers shall not be required to fuel their buses or to close garage doors.
Bus Maintenance. 16.1 The Contractor shall maintain all buses at peak efficiency in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations for service, including any supplements or service letters issued by the manufacturer during the term of the Contract, and the requirements of the Municipality as outlined in Schedule E. Records must be kept to the satisfaction of the Municipality of all mileage, road calls, maintenance and service as outlined in Schedule F for each individual bus. The Contractor shall use only top grade fuel and oils, greases, fluids, etc., as specified by the bus manufacturer's manual. 16.2 The Contractor shall keep all buses clean and sanitary, inside and out, as in Schedule E, and maintain adequate heat and light inside the buses during operation. The Contractor shall repair all scratches, dents, etc. promptly and to the satisfaction of the Municipality's representative. 16.3 The inspection, servicing, scheduled and routine maintenance shall be performed during off-peak hours of the service. 16.4 In all cases the Contractor will ensure that all repairs to the municipally- owned buses are performed promptly and the Municipality reserves the right to examine the nature and quality of the repairs performed on its buses. All parts used shall be of a type and quality satisfactory to the bus manufacturer and/or the Municipality. 16.5 In the event a major component of one of the buses fails and requires replacement or overhaul, the Municipality will be responsible for the cost of the parts and the Contractor will be responsible for the cost of labour to install the parts. Bus Maintenance. Layoffs of bus maintenance personnel shall be determined by the School in relationship to the employee's work-skill level. If skill levels are equal, the employee's layoff shall be determined by seniority.
Bus Maintenance. All positions opened with the classification of bus maintenance employees shall be posted for five (5) working days. Application for bids shall be submitted in writing during the five (5)-day posting period by the employee seeking the job.   • REPAIRS; MAINTENANCE The Owner hereby gives power to the Agent to supervise repairs, improvements, alterations, and decorations to the Property as well as purchase and pay bills for services and supplies. The Agent shall obtain prior approval of the Owner for all expenditures over $ for any single item. Prior approval for lesser amounts shall not be required for monthly or recurring operating charges or if emergency expenditures over the maximum are, in the Agent’s opinion, needed to protect the Property from damage, prevent injury to persons, avoid suspension of necessary services, avoid penalties or fines, or suspension of services to tenants required by a lease or rental agreement or by law, including, but not limited to, maintaining the Property in a condition fit for human habitation as required by applicable law.

  • Tenant’s Maintenance Tenant agrees, at Tenant’s sole cost and expense, to take good care of the Premises, including the Improvements, and keep and maintain the same and all parts thereof, including without limitation, the entire interior and exterior of the Improvements, the roof, foundations, parking areas, sidewalks, railroad tracks, water, sewer, gas and electricity connections, pipes, mains and all other fixtures, machinery, apparatus, equipment and appurtenances thereto, together with any and all alterations and additions thereto, in as good order, condition and repair as on the Effective Date, reasonable wear and tear excepted, suffering no waste or injury. Tenant shall, at its sole cost and expense, promptly make all necessary repairs and replacements, structural or otherwise, ordinary as well as extraordinary, foreseen as well as unforeseen, in and to any Improvements or equipment now or hereafter located upon the land including, without limitation, the entire interior and exterior of the Improvements, the roof, the foundations, parking areas, sidewalks, railroad tracks, water, sewer, gas and electricity connections, pipes, mains and all other fixtures, machinery, apparatus, equipment and appurtenances, now or hereafter belonging to, connected with or used in conjunction with the Premises: provided, however, in the event any repairs or replacements are required, the cost of which are required to be capitalized in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, landlord shall initially pay for the cost of such repairs or replacements and Tenant shall pay Landlord as Additional Rent, for the portion of such costs attributable to the then remainder of the Term, as and when such costs are paid by Landlord to third party vendors, such portion to be determined as between Landlord and Tenant on a straight-line basis. All such repairs and replacements shall be of first class quality and sufficient for the proper maintenance and operation of the Premises. Tenant shall keep and maintain the Premises, including the Improvements and all sidewalks, vault space, parking areas and areas adjacent thereto, safe, secure and clean, specifically including, but not by way of limitation, snow and ice clearance, landscaping and removal of waste and refuse matter. Tenant shall not permit anything to be done upon the Premises (and shall perform all maintenance and repairs thereto so as not) to invalidate, in whole or in part, or prevent the procurement of any insurance policies which may, at any time, be required under the provisions of this Lease. Tenant shall not obstruct or permit the obstruction of any parking area, adjoining street or sidewalk, except to the extent commercially necessary.

  • System Maintenance The Trust understands that USBFS will perform periodic maintenance to the System(s), which may cause temporary service interruptions. To the extent possible, USBFS shall notify the Trust of all planned outages and will perform any necessary maintenance during non-business hours.

  • TENANT’S MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR Tenant at its sole expense shall comply with all applicable laws and governmental regulations governing the Premises and make all repairs necessary to keep the Premises in the condition as existed on the Commencement Date (or on any later date that the improvements may have been installed), excepting ordinary wear and tear, including without limitation the electrical and mechanical systems, any air conditioning, ventilating or heating equipment which serves the Premises, all walls, glass, windows, doors, door closures, hardware, fixtures, electrical, plumbing, fire extinguisher equipment and other equipment. Any damage or deterioration of the Premises shall not be deemed ordinary wear and tear if the same could have been prevented by good maintenance practices by Tenant. As part of its maintenance obligations hereunder, Tenant shall, at Landlord's request, provide Landlord with copies of all maintenance schedules, reports and notices prepared by, for or on behalf of Tenant. Tenant shall obtain preventive maintenance contracts from a licensed heating and air conditioning contractor to provide for regular inspection and maintenance of the heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems servicing the Premises, all subject to Landlord's approval. All repairs shall be at least equal in quality to the original work, shall be made only by a licensed contractor approved in writing in advance by Landlord and shall be made only at the time or times approved by Landlord. Any contractor utilized by Tenant shall be subject to Landlord's standard requirements for contractors, as modified from time to time. Landlord shall have the right at all times to inspect Tenant's maintenance of all equipment (including without limitation air conditioning, ventilating and heating equipment), and may impose reasonable restrictions and requirements with respect to repairs, as provided in Section 7.3, and the provisions of Section 7.4 shall apply to all repairs. Alternatively, Landlord may elect to make any repair or maintenance required hereunder on behalf of Tenant and at Tenant's expense, and Tenant shall promptly reimburse Landlord for all costs incurred upon submission of an invoice.

  • Road Maintenance Purchaser shall maintain roads, commensurate with Purchaser’s use, in accor- dance with Road Maintenance Requirements in C5.31 and the Road Maintenance Specifications. Performance of road maintenance work by Purchaser may be required prior to, during, or after each period of use. The timing of work accomplishment shall be based on Purchaser’s Op- erating Schedule under B6.31.
