Bus Driver Training. Bus Driver Trainers shall instruct division bus drivers regarding school bus operating procedures, safety, evacuation procedures and other areas as determined by the Division. In order to perform their training duties, Bus Driver Trainers shall be relieved of their regular bus driving duties as required to accommodate the driver training, as determined by the Supervisor of Operations. While performing the assigned training duties, Bus Driver trainers shall be paid the Bus Driver Trainer hourly rate of pay. Opportunities for regular bus drivers to be trained as a Bus Driver Trainer shall be posted for information purposes. The Employer has the sole discretion to choose bus driver trainers. Preference will be given to regular bus drivers but, in the event none are available or suitable, a person from outside the bargaining unit may be used as a bus driver trainer.

Bus Driver Training. Any bus driver attending a required training course outside his/her duty hours shall be paid his/her hourly rate of pay, including overtime as applicable, for such training course and shall receive reimbursement for actual costs incurred such as enrollment fees, books, meals, mileage and the cost of any special license or certificate required.

To that end, the parties agree to the following training stipends that will be paid to a mentor driver that shall be selected by the administration, for providing these training and mentoring responsibilities: Training Stipends New Candidate Stipend $20 per hour (with a 20 hour maximum) (without CDL - no previous experience including air brakes) Experienced Candidate Stipend $20 per hour (with a 10 hour maximum) (with CDL and driving experience - needing air brake endorsement only. This can also be used for mentoring new drivers who are not in need of any endorsements. (4 hour maximum) The above stipends will be paid to the mentor driver after the candidate driver takes his or her test (regardless of whether the candidate driver passes or fails the test): provided that the mentor has completed the agreed upon curriculum and check-list for the candidate driver that shall be established by the Administration to ensure consistency in training and orientation to District procedures.   • Bus Drivers For overtime worked on normal working days or on days of rest, bus drivers shall be paid as follows:
