Bridged Tap Removal. The physical act of "cutting off" part of the metallic facility along the cable route to remove cable not in the direct electrical path. The original loop could have made multiple appearances along the cable route and the service subscribed to by the End User may have limited tolerances to total bridged-tap on a circuit.
