Breaks in Continuous Service. An employee’s continuous service record shall be broken by resignation, discharge for just cause, retirement, death, and layoffs in excess of thirty six (36) months. An employee’s continuous service record shall be adjusted for suspensions or unpaid leaves of absences of 30 days or more.
