Common use of Board Allowance Clause in Contracts

Board Allowance. An employee sent by the Employer to a job outside of Zone 1, and who is required by the Employer to remain away from his normal place of residence, and where the job is within one hundred (100) road kilometres from the boundary of Zone 1, will be paid, at the Employer’s discretion, a board allowance of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day or a travel allowance in accordance with 5.04.01 above. Where the job is more than one hundred (100) road kilometres from the boundary of Zone 1, the employee will be paid a board allowance one hundred and five dollars ($105.00) per day.
