Common use of Billing Training Clause in Contracts

Billing Training. HCA shall provide training to all individuals (including Laboratory and Business Office Directors and other billing personnel) responsible for Federal health care program billing in their facilities. HCA shall provide at least eight hours of such training within 180 days of the effective date of this CIA and during each subsequent year. The training shall include the following subject matters: a. the submission of accurate bills for services rendered to Federal health care program beneficiaries; b. policies, procedures and other requirements applicable to the documentation of medical records; c. the personal obligation of each individual involved in the billing process to ensure that such bill▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ accurate; d. applicable reimbursement statutes, regulations, and program requirements and directives; e. the legal sanctions for improper bill▇▇▇▇; ▇▇d f. examples of proper and improper billing practices.
