BASES. 15-2.01. At the effective date of this Agreement, the following cities are recognized as Pilot Bases: Calgary (YYC) Toronto (YYZ) 15-2.02. The Company and the Association agree that if the Company decides to add a new aircraft Type, then the Company shall inform the Association no later than forty- five (45) days prior to the addition of the aircraft Type.

BASES. 11.02.1 Company Establishment of a New Base(s) The establishment of a new Base(s) by the Company will be communicated to the Union in as timely a manner as possible. The crewing of said Base(s) will be established in consultation with the Union and shall take into consideration the following: a) Volunteers in order of seniority, classification; b) New hires at the new Base. 11.02.2 Company Relocation of an Existing Base(s) The relocation to a new Base(s) by the Company will be communicated to the Union in as timely a manner as possible with a minimum of six (6) month notice period. The crewing of said Base(s) will be established in consultation with the Union and shall take into consideration the following: a) Volunteers in order of seniority, classification; b) Transfer to the new Base(s) in reverse order of seniority, classification; c) New hires at the new Base.

BASES. 9.1.1 For the purpose of this Agreement, the following locations shall be recognized as Pilot home bases: a. Edmonton, AB (YEG); and, b. Calgary, AB (YYC) 9.1.2 In the event a Pilot’s home base is opened or closed, positions shall be dealt with per SECTION 9 – FILLING OF POSITIONS or SECTION 18 – LAYOFF, REDUCTIONS, RECALL and LEAVES OF ABSENCE. 9.1.3 If a new Pilot base is established and no bids are received, the Company may assign the most junior qualified Pilot on type. If this results in a shortage in a particular Pilot base, the new position openings shall also be subject to bid. If the most junior Pilot chooses not to accept the new position, he may exercise his seniority with respect to status and displace a more junior Pilot, change equipment, or be downgraded if he so chooses.

BASES is licenced by the Science Council to award Chartered Scientist status to members who meet the requisite standards and criteria. The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) have approved BASES to deliver the Sport and Exercise Psychology Accreditation Route (SEPAR). Successful candidates are then eligible to apply for HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
