Common use of Barriers and diversions Clause in Contracts

Barriers and diversions. The Authority shall procure that during the Operation Period, no barriers are erected or placed by any Government Instrumentality on the Port except for reasons of Emergency, national security, law and order or collection of taxes. The Authority shall also make best endeavours to procure that no Government Instrumentality shall undertake or cause to be undertaken, except for reasons of Emergency, national security or law and order, any diversions of traffic from, or closing down of approach roads to the Port that may cause a material adverse effect on the flow of traffic to and from the Port.
