Common use of Bargaining Unit Status Clause in Contracts

Bargaining Unit Status. An employee temporarily assigned to a position excluded from the bargaining unit shall maintain his/her seniority and grievance rights within the bargaining unit for the period of his/her assignment. He/she shall continue to be subject to Article 11 of this Agreement. An employee cannot act in the capacity of an official of the Labor Council while serving in a position outside the bargaining unit. Upon completion of the temporary assignment, with the approval of the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council, Inc., the Employer shall resume recognition of the employee's Labor Council responsibilities.
