AUTOMOBILE USE AND ALLOWANCE. The City shall attempt to provide vehicles for all represented inspectors required to perform field inspections. When employees are required to drive their own automobiles to perform City Business due to lack of availability of City vehicles, they shall be reimbursed for mileage (including round trip miles from home to work) at the rate permitted by the Internal Revenue Service regulations. Employees who are required to drive their own automobile on City business, shall receive an allowance of $100.00 per month in any month when such vehicle is actually used on the job more than six (6) working days. Miscellaneous expenses such as tolls and parking fees, shall be processed for reimbursement upon submission of an approved field expense report.
