Common use of Automobile Usage Clause in Contracts

Automobile Usage. In the event the School District requests any employee to use his/her own vehicle on business of the School District, that employee shall be reimbursed at the business rate as established by the Internal Revenue Service. No vehicle may be used on School District business without the express written authorization of the Superintendent or his/her designee. No employee shall be required to use his/her personal vehicle on school business except for an emergency. The District shall not require employees, in these emergency situations, to transport materials which will deface, injure or otherwise harm the employee’s vehicle, but the employee may be directed to transport tools and other minor construction equipment.
