Common use of Authority of Member in Charge Clause in Contracts

Authority of Member in Charge. 8.1. In case the Consultant is a Joint Venture, the members hereby authorize the member specified in the SCC to act on their behalf in exercising all the Consultant’s rights and obligations towards the Employer under this Contract, including without limitation the receiving of instructions and payments from the Employer.

However, the Consultant and each member of the Consortium shall be jointly and severally liable for all obligations of the Consultant under the Contract.
