Common use of Authority in Regard to Individual Accounts Clause in Contracts

Authority in Regard to Individual Accounts. If your account is an individual account (e.g., a sole proprietorship), your death or legal incompetence does not revoke our authority with regard to items drawn on or deposited to your account until we have actual knowledge thereof and a reasonable opportunity to act (and we may, even with knowledge of your death, pay checks drawn before death for up to ten (10) days after the date of death).
