Common use of Assignment; Succession Clause in Contracts

Assignment; Succession. It is hereby agreed that Executive’s rights and obligations under this Agreement are personal and not assignable. Further, neither Executive, nor beneficiary, nor any other person entitled to payments hereunder shall have the power to transfer, assign, anticipate, mortgage or otherwise encumber in advance any of such payments, nor shall such payments be subject to seizure for the payment of public or private debts, judgment, alimony or separate maintenance or be transferable by operation of law in event of bankruptcy, insolvency or otherwise. This Agreement contains the entire agreement and understanding between the parties to it and shall be binding on and inure to the benefit of the heirs, personal representatives, successors and assigns of the parties hereto.
