ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. For the purposes of this Agreement, the following days will be recognized as holidays for full-time employees: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday A full-time employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid for authorized work on such day at his regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked and in addition, provided he has been employed for a period of at least three (3) months in a full-time position, has earned wages on at least twelve (12) days during the four work weeks immediately preceding the day of the holiday, and works his scheduled day of work immediately preceding and following the holiday, the Employer shall grant another working day for the holiday which shall be no later than the next annual vacation of the full-time employee and the day so substituted shall be deemed to be the holiday. Where a holiday falls on a full-time employee’s day off or during the employee’s vacation period, the Employer shall pay the employee his regular straight time hourly rate for all hours he would otherwise have worked on the holiday or shall designate a working day that is not later than the next annual vacation of the full-time employee and the day so designated shall be deemed to be the holiday provided the full-time employee qualifies in accordance with the conditions set out in Section

ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. For the purposes of this Agreement, The Health Centre recognizes the following days will be recognized as holidays for full-time employees: designated paid holidays. New Year’s 's Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday A full-time employee who is required to work (1st Monday in August) And any other day proclaimed as a stat holiday. When any of the above noted holidays fall on a holiday shall be paid for authorized work Saturday or Sunday and are not proclaimed as being observed on such day at his regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked and in addition, provided he has been employed for a period of at least three (3) months in a full-time position, has earned wages on at least twelve (12) days during the four work weeks immediately preceding the day of the holiday, and works his scheduled day of work immediately preceding and following the holidaysome other day, the Employer shall grant another working day for following Monday and/or Tuesday and/or the holiday which shall be no later than the next annual vacation of the full-time employee and the day so substituted preceding Friday shall be deemed to be holidays for the holidaypurpose of this Agreement at the discretion of the Health Centre. Where In addition to the above designated paid holidays the Health Centre will provide each full- time employee who has completed her probation, with three (3) non-premium floating holidays once in each calendar year, at a holiday falls on time mutually agreeable to the Health Centre and the employee. In the event mutual agreement cannot be reached, the employee shall be allowed to take the floating holidays with her scheduled vacation. A part-time employee who transfers to a full-time employee’s day off or position during the employee’s vacation periodcourse of a calendar year, the Employer shall pay the employee his regular straight time hourly rate for all hours he would otherwise have worked on the holiday or shall designate a working day that is not later than the next annual vacation of the new full-time employee hired during the course of a calendar year, shall have her float days pro-rated according to the effective date of her transfer. In order to qualify for payment for each designated holiday, an employee must work her normally scheduled shift both immediately preceding and immediately following the holiday, unless absence on either or both of the said qualifying days is with reasonable cause. When any of the above mentioned designated holidays fall on or are observed on an employee’s regularly scheduled day off, she will receive an additional day off in lieu with pay at a time mutually convenient to the employee and the Health Centre. In the event that mutual agreement cannot be reached, the employee may take the day so designated shall be deemed to be the holiday provided the full-time employee qualifies off in accordance conjunction with the conditions set out in Sectionher vacation period.
