Common use of Appointment with Right of First Refusal Clause in Contracts

Appointment with Right of First Refusal. Consistent with the provisions of Article 14, the applicant for a vacancy who possesses the right of first refusal in relation to a particular course and priority (see 16.02) shall be offered an appointment to teach the course when it is offered on a sessional basis. A qualified applicant with priority may apply for and be assigned up to twelve (12) credit units in the Regular Session. Such applicants are entitled to be appointed for up to twelve (12) credit units before another applicant is appointed.
