Common use of APPOINTMENT OF BUYER’S REPRESENTATIVE Clause in Contracts

APPOINTMENT OF BUYER’S REPRESENTATIVE. The Buyer shall timely despatch to and maintain at the Shipyard, at its own cost, expense and risk one or more representative(s) (hereinafter called the “Buyer’s Representative”), who shall be duly accredited in writing by the Buyer to supervise adequately the construction by the Builder of the Vessel, her equipment and all accessories. Upon appointment of Buyer’s Representative, the Buyer shall notify the Builder in writing of the name and the scope of the authority of the Buyer’s Representative. The Buyer shall have the right to replace or substitute any of its representatives upon prior notice to the Builder.
