Application and Selection Process. 1. For those disciplines in which a master's degree is required: a. Individuals applying for faculty internship positions will: • Complete an official SCCCD Application for Academic Employment, • Provide transcripts verifying the units completed in their master's or doctoral program (at the University of California, the California State University, or any other accredited institution of higher education), and • Include a statement specifying the courses that the applicant is planning to take to complete their degree. 2. For those disciplines for which a master's degree is not expected or required: a. Individuals applying for faculty internship positions will: • Complete an official SCCCD Application for Academic Employment, • Provide a detailed resume with job history and job references, • Provide photocopies of any and all appropriate certificates or licenses which would be required to perform work in the area in which they would be teaching, • Provide transcripts verifying either: i. Completion of an associate degree, or ii. Progress toward the completion of an associate degree, along with a statement specifying the courses which the applicant plans to take to complete their degree. • Provide verification of experience Acceptance into the faculty intern program is contingent upon verification of transcripts (receipt of official transcripts). The District will be responsible for verifying the eligibility of Faculty Interns.
