Common use of Anniversary Dates Clause in Contracts

Anniversary Dates. Anniversary dates for employees may remain unchanged; or at the discretion of the Deputy Head, the anniversary dates for employees in a department may be changed to a common date. Where the practice of individual anniversary dates is retained, the anniversary date of an employee is the date the employee commenced work or subsequentlythe date the employee was last promoted. Where a common anniversary date is chosen, the Deputy Head may, on the first anniversary date under the changed procedure, pro-rate or delay the number of pay steps granted to an employee for the purposes of equitable implementation, as per established pro-rating procedures.
