Alg. 4 solves k-uniform k-set agreement in a dynamic network under the message adver- sary VSRC(n, 3D + H) + MAJINF(k), which is the conjunction of Def. 15 and Def. 21. The proof consists of a sequence of technical lemmas, which will finally allow us to establish all the properties of k-set agreement given in Section 3. First, validity according to Def. 4 is straightforward to see, as only the values of locks are ever considered as decisions (line 24). Values of locks, on the other hand, are initialized to the initial value of a process (line 2) and later on always have values of previous locks assigned to them (lines 30 and 32). Note that the claimed k-uniformity is obvious, as the code of the algorithm does not involve k. To establish termination, we start with some simple properties related to setting locks at all members of vertex stable root components.
