Common use of Advertising Required by New Franchisees Clause in Contracts

Advertising Required by New Franchisees. 6.3.1 You must spend $5,000 to advertise and market your business in the Territory during your first Tax Season, in addition to the advertising and marketing fees described above, unless you purchase an existing Franchised Business that has operated one full Tax Season during the immediately prior Tax Season. You can place this advertising and marketing or you can have us place it for you. If you place the advertising required by this paragraph, you must send us all proposed advertising for our prior approval and provide us with whatever proof we require that you have met your obligations under this paragraph. This requirement applies whenever you sign a franchise agreement for a new Territory.
