Common use of Advanced Payment Clause in Contracts

Advanced Payment. Water Code §10551 authorizes advance payment by State for projects which are sponsored by a nonprofit organization; a disadvantaged community (DAC); or, the proponent of a project that benefits a DAC. If these projects are awarded less than $1,000,000 in grant funds, the project proponent may receive an advanced payment of 50% of the grant award; the remaining 50% of the grant award will be reimbursed in arrears. Within 90 calendar days of execution of the Grant Agreement, the Grantee shall provide DWR an Advanced Payment Request. The Advanced Payment Request must contain the following:
