Common use of Advanced Payment Clause in Contracts

Advanced Payment. Water Code §10551 authorizes advance payment by State for projects which are sponsored by a nonprofit organization; a disadvantaged community (DAC); or, the proponent of a project that benefits a DAC. If these projects are awarded less than $1,000,000 in grant funds, the project proponent may receive an advanced payment of 50% of the grant award; the remaining 50% of the grant award will be reimbursed in arrears.
