Additional Education. A faculty member who receives a higher degree while employed by the College will move to the new appropriate level effective in the first pay period of the academic semester following the College's receipt of the official transcripts. To be recognized for salary purposes, a degree must be earned at an institution which is accredited by an accrediting agency which is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the U. S. Department of Education. For a foreign institution, the institution is recognized by CHEA or a government or non-governmental agency which is responsible for quality review of higher education institutions in that country. Official transcripts of academic work completed by the faculty member must be filed in the Human Resources Division Office.
